'Flappy Bird' fans attempt to petition White House

Gamers don’t seem to mind that they were addicted to the popular game, Flappy Bird. A White House petition was started Thursday, Feb. 13, by a person only identified as D.S., asking the Obama administration to bring back the game. Unfortunately, it was then pulled.

The petition only managed to snag a few signatures before getting deleted for violating the terms of participation. CNET reports it tried to make a strong claim saying, “Flappy Bird, also known as the devil's game and apocalypse, suffered an untimely death. The game has been described as causing suicidal thoughts and has caused the destruction of millions of mobile devices. People have lost their wives, children, homes, and jobs.”
The petition then had said that though it was horrible, the petition creator still felt emotion that he rarely felt before.
As previously reported the creator of game, Dong Nguyen pulled Flappy Bird from mobile app stores last Sunday because “it was just too addictive.”
He also noted that it brought him too much attention and that since making games was only a hobby, he couldn't stand it anymore.
The game was making $50,000 a day through advertising when it was taken down. As a result, Nguyen received a high number of death threats and suicidal tweets from overly obsessive fans.
