The annoyingly addictive mobile game, which involves directing a bird between sets of green pipes, was released in 2013.
However, it disappeared from smartphones around the world in February after its Vietnam-based developer Dong Nguyen pulled it, sparking anger amongst fans.
Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine, Nguyen refused to rule out Flappy Bird flying again in the future.
‘I’m considering it,’ he said, but warned that any future version of the will come with a warning. ‘Take a break,’ he added.
‘But it happened to become an addictive product.
‘I think it has become a problem.
‘To solve that problem, it’s best to take down Flappy Bird.’
